Miracles, Bosnia-Herzegovina
MIRACLES VISION
To transform the lives of those for whom the hope of a miracle is their only alternative to despair.
Miracles is a UK registered charity and a registered foreign non-profit organisation in Bosnia-Herzegovina with over ten years in-country experience. It is a charity offering hope for those with multiple and life-threatening problems for whom no other source of help is available.
The head of its' operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), Matthew Procter, was awarded the MBE for services to disadvantaged children in 2005.
Many of these disadvantaged children currently spend their days begging and roaming the streets.
A generous donor confirmed to Miracles his support to the housing/education project in Zenica - combined with £25,000 we raised the project is now a reality. The revised plan is to house 12 families, at least 50 children/young adults will benefit in the months and years ahead. The first stage will be the renovation of the existing house on site, converting downstairs into a classroom/social centre. Miracles can now begin the education side with these children whilst the new homes are being constructed.
Noreen Bavister and Alison Boyes met Matthew when they made a visit to Medjugorje, (BiH), with Francess Scarr, Matthew's Godmother in November 2006.
