Miracles, Bosnia-Herzegovina

MIRACLES VISION

The GCF raised £26,800 to support this project.

To transform the lives of those for whom the hope of a miracle is their only alternative to despair.

Miracles is a UK registered charity and a registered foreign non-profit organisation in Bosnia-Herzegovina with over ten years in-country experience. It is a charity offering hope for those with multiple and life-threatening problems for whom no other source of help is available.
The head of its' operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), Matthew Procter, was awarded the MBE for services to disadvantaged children in 2005.

The funds donated by the GCF have helped realise the dream to build proper housing for homeless families and convert an existing building into a classroom/social centre where children can learn and play. We received a report at the end of the first academic year to say that all the children have done very well and are on track to pass their exams. We also made a donation towards the building of a prosthetics centre for those that have lost limbs through landmines.

Noreen Bavister and Alison Boyes met Matthew when they made a visit to Medjugorje, (BiH), with Francess Scarr, Matthew's Godmother in November 2006.
